Let me know you the scopes, career option and earning of a Chartered Accountant. Do you know how many companies are registered in India every year? Let me tell you some data about company’s registration in India.

According to MCA– Ministry of Corporate Affairs, there are about 300 company’s registration application reach to MCA office every day in India. Now you can imagine that how much registration is done in one year. I found some data of company’s registration few years back.

At the time of Independence in 1947, about 15000 companies were registered in India. Over next 20 years, on an average, 1000 companies were registered every year in India. During 1970-85 phase, 6000 companies on an average were registered every year. During 1985-2005, about 30000 companies on an average, were registered every year in India. During 2005-2015, about 80000 companies on an average, were registered every year in India.

So, from this data, I am trying to convey you that there are lacs of companies which are expanding their businesses all over world so they also need CAs (Chartered Account) to manage their accounts, financial issues and many more. After GST (Goods & Services Tax) came in action, all companies or organizations must have to give reports of their taxes, investments, and all other account details to the government. To manage these all accounts, each company or organization needs a CA.

Now, I tell you the number of CAs in India. As per the record of ICAI, there are a total of 2,82,153 CAs in India as of 1st April 2018. So, you can imagine that still how much CA we require to handle companies/organizations’ accounts. If about 300 companies are registering every day in India, so in a year, the number will be about one lac. If we assume that more than 90% of companies/organizations will get closed, still there will be about 10000 companies who will be running successfully. It will need about 10000 CAs to handle those companies. Last year, ICAI offers a package min. 7.5 lac/annum to 24.5 lac/annum during placements.
